Do we Disagree?

Hi There!
I created this page in order to live in Unity which Jesus prayed for.

“My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me.  I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one—  I in them and you in me—so that they may be brought to complete unity. Then the world will know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me.” John 17:20

If I shared with you the link that brings you to this page that means you have stated that you do not agree with something I have written. While it would be so much easier if we saw eye-to-eye with everyone else, I do not believe that disagreement needs to means disunity. I do not see Jesus pulling Himself away from His disciples because they were continually in a state of learning.

I sincerely hope, both for you and I, that we are not still in the same position without growth in 5 or 10 years from today. That being said, let us have grace for each other trusting in Him who actually reveals to us the realities of the finished work of the Cross of Jesus Christ and Who reveals the implications of the inheritance He has lavishly granted us!

Since you disagree with me on something and you are obviously still here on my blog, would you please do the following?
Pray for me as Paul did in Colossians:
…we have not ceased to pray for you, asking that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, so as to walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to Him: bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God;  being strengthened with all power, according to his glorious might, for all endurance and patience with joy. (Colossians 1:9)

This way, we can use the Scriptures of God to build up His Body and not throw Scripture around in order to cut others down or bring confusion to others who are actually growing in their relationship with God through this blog.

When we see Jesus, the Word of God, as the cornerstone of His church, instead of a stone to throw at others while sowing disunity I believe we are answering Jesus’s prayer from John 17 that I shared above.

Also, I do believe that this blog is an awesome privilege that God has entrusted me with. At the same time, so is my family including our small children. I will always be seeking God’s grace to steward these privileges well, including time management. Which is why, unless He leads me to do otherwise, I will not be using my time in any sort of debate or back-and-forth conversation that I do not believe to be fruitful to the purpose I feel for this blog- to empower the women God leads to this blog for the intention of experiencing eternal life- free from condemnation, guilt, fear, and shame- to grow into Christ’s fullest measure by exploring the depths of relationship with God.

I’ll also be praying for you and trusting God to be the one to ultimately lead us to all Truth so that we can wholeheartedly give ourselves to the ministry of reconciling others to Him.
